Berlin – Measuring and sensor technology specialist FSG introduces MH8-GS63 magnetic absolute encoders with a measuring range of 2880°. The devices are designed for operation in hazardous environments (compliant with ATEX and IECEx) and for applications with safety-related requirements as per SIL2 and PLd. The contact-free redundant magnetic multi-turn encoders in two-wire technology feature 14bit resolution and an analogue 4...20 mA interface. The signal output utilises only one channel, the second channel is used for safety monitoring tasks...

Berlin – FSG's two-axis tilt angle sensor series PE-MEMS ensures a high degree of data safety in rugged environments. The redundant systems are based on MEMS technology (microelectromechanical measuring systems). They cover a ±60° measuring range and reach an accuracy of 0.1°. Their anodized aluminum IP69K housing offers excellent vibration and shock resistance, making the systems suitable for extremely demanding environmental conditions at operating temperatures of -40 to +70 °C.

Berlin – At this year's InnoTrans exhibition, FSG focused on measuring technology and sensors for rail vehicles. FSG's units have already proven themselves in many applications, e.g. in Berlin's underground and rapid transit trains. Amongst other things, the company will exhibit rotary encoders featuring a potentiometric, inductive, magnetic, or optoelectronic measuring system.

Berlin – FSG introduces the new MH605-II-MU series of single-turn encoders. Thanks to a seawater-proof IP68 aluminum housing and a wide temperature range of -40 to +105 °C, the devices are suitable for very demanding environments. The encoders do not require a bearing point – the angle detection system features an external magnet. With a diameter of merely 13 mm and a weight of approx.10 g, they can be easily integrated into machines and plants with limited installation space. The units are available as different versions with a 12 Bit resolution and measuring ranges up to 360°.

Berlin – FSG's new FS-MH line of pedal-actuated transmitters features additional sensor elements that ensure continuous actuation monitoring and error detection, thus increasing safety. Unintentional displacement, i.e. through spring breakage or coarse dirt, is detected and signaled by means of an error signal at the output. Thanks to a simple design, the new pedal-actuated transmitters are very cost-efficient. Manufactured from aluminum and stainless steel, they are IP67-protected and thereby ideally suited for use under rugged conditions. Typically, they are used as accelerator or brake pedals in excavators.
